Zmaya by Bloodhound Omega

I blame this one completely and utterly on my friend, Nelena, as I don't even like Nagas that much! XD But now I have my very own one. Hrrr....

His name is Zmaya, derived from the Polish word "żmija" which stands for a snake in the metaphorical sense of a guileful woman. *smirks*

He's a boy though. And proud to be so.

Medium: Water Colours, Colour Pencils
Tags: snake snake naga garter
Iguana Iguana by Nathradas

My most recent artwork. Because of this I actually am active here now 'cause someone told me I could offer prints here without much of a problem and I really like the concept of this place. So yeah, I'll give it a try.
The Cricket Trainer by Kittrel

She's the best trainer in the meadow - she can turn even the wildest and most disobedient cricket into a calm, loving house cricket!

This drawing took way longer than it should have to complete. I got artist's block on it halfway through. But it's done now!

Medium: marker, colored pencil
Tags: dog mouse mice cricket trainer
Dragon's Treasure by Feyala

I discovered that a local music shop was putting on an art show and wanted people to submit art that was oriented around the theme of family. "Aha!" I thought, "This is a great way for me to get local exposure!" So I decided to do a sculpture. Hours and hours later, and two sleep-deprived days as I frantically tried to finish it, this was the result. I'm extremely proud of how it came out, although what flaws there are still glare out at me, there are far fewer of them than usual.

Airbrush is my friend. <3

This piece ended up being mentioned in a local free newspaper which was pretty cool. First time seeing my name in print for art! Woo!

I will try to get better photos of this when I have a better camera.

Sculpey Firm over foil and wire armature, with acetate and apoxie sculpt wings, airbrushed and detail painted with lovely metallic cheapo acrylics and sealed with varnish.

Medium: Sculpey, acetate, apoxie sculpt, acrylics
Tags: dragon hatchling sculpture family sculpey
Pink Lava Fish by Deathweasel

Well, technically this is a dragon, but I did some things here that I am completely uncomfortable with.

1)Used a greyscale marker underpainting

2)Those colors. I have these tubes of paint that I just can't seem to use (the fuchsia, most notably) and I... tried to use them here.

3)Attempted use of salt

Oh well. 9x12" watercolor paper

Medium: Watercolors, micron inks, markers
Tags: dragon fish space surreal
Persistence wins the Day: Inks by Ahkahna

Inks of a pair of heated dragons, the male of which has been exceedingly persistent in his desire to woo the lady of his choice. Has he finally caught and won her over?

This will eventually be a colored (note: possibly painted) piece that will be up in the Art Show at FWA. Prints may also be available at that time.

Gryfinch by GrayWolf

I've always dreamt of creating something like this, and with the fantasy fair coming up I wanted to give it a try. Both parts used where damaged. The mouse was dragged in by the neighborhood cat and was missing bits of the head, and the bird came from a breeder and died during molting and was thus missing the rump feathers.

~To whom it may concern, (please read before accusing me of anything!)
The animals used in this project died a natural cause. NONE of the animals I work on are killed for the purpose of taxidermy only and most are found along side the road or come from bird/animal breeders in the area.

Medium: taxidermy
Tags: gryphon taxidermy gryfinch
Peaceful Harper by Arikla

Finally done. This piece is huge, about 20X30 and currently the largest I have done to date. Watercolor and colored pencil. Unfortunately lost alot of detail in the scan due to the size change But, it's done, and I am rather happy with it. Any odd lines or color shifts most likely due to me having to piece this together from scanner. Originally intended to be part of a series of four that would have the boarder done here proceed all around, but have yet to get teh ambition for a piece this big back :P

Medium: Colored Pencil and Watercolor
Tags: harp barnacle goose
The Aquarian by Wolf Nymph

Many people associate the sign of Aquarius with water, seeing as it's derived from the word "aqua". However, Aquarius is dominantly an air sign, and means "water bearer". Being an Aquarian myself, I can't help but revisit the concept again after making this piece back in 2005. I also can't help myself with these chunky swirly designs.
